Europe History ToursWWI

From the last post ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres, to the haunting ridges, valleys and beaches of the Gallipoli Peninsula.

The Battlefields tour of the Western Front and Gallipoli, embraces the major sites where New Zealand soldiers served and gives students the opportunity to quietly reflect on the sacrifices that were made 100 years ago.

From the origins of WWII through to the Cold War period, Germany and Eastern Europe in particular offer the chance for students to visit key sights and gain an insight in to the human stories that played out during this period. A visit to Auschwitz is one example of such visits that will have a lasting influence on students as they seek to learn from the past in order to help create a better future.
